About RCDCC
Our History
The Randolph County Democratic Party has deep roots in the history of Randolph County and the State of Indiana. The county itself was established in 1818, and organized political activity quickly followed as communities began electing local leaders and shaping the future of the region.
By the mid-19th century, Democratic voters in Randolph County were organizing conventions, supporting candidates, and participating in the broader Democratic movement across Indiana. Historical newspaper records show local Democratic activity by the late 1850s, reflecting an established network of citizens working together to nominate candidates, debate ideas, and serve their communities.
For more than a century and a half, Randolph County Democrats have taken part in civic life—supporting public schools, local infrastructure, working families, and democratic participation at every level of government. Through changing times and political landscapes, the party has remained committed to the principle that government works best when it listens to and represents the people.
Today, the Randolph County Democratic Central Committee (RCDCC) continues that tradition by organizing local Democrats, supporting candidates, encouraging civic engagement, and working to build a stronger future for all residents of Randolph County.
